Blac Chyna facing backlash for promoting skin whitening cream

Blac Chyna was off to promote her new partnership with Whitenicious as she jetted to Lagos, Nigeria on Saturday. It was recently claimed she had never actually used the skin-lightening cream she had been endorsing online.
On Friday, sources told TMZ Chyna had never even used the ‘Whitenicious’ Diamond Illuminating & Lightening cream she’s been promoting.The former reality TV star ‘never applied it to her own skin’ says the gossip site. The Rob & Chyna star allegedly saw the partnership as nothing more than ‘a business opportunity’
The former stripper was ‘offered good money to promote the cream’, say TMZ’s sources. According to the ‘science’ section of the website: ‘This protective illuminating product helps restore radiance and moisture while providing UV protection.’
Chyna’s reps told TMZ the star has been ‘using Whitenicious dark spot corrector for a few years to deal with her hyperpigmentation.’They told the site she ‘felt this was a good deal for her because a lot of women of color suffer from skin issues.’
The reality star, 30, took to her Instagram account to post a video of herself walking towards her private jet on a tarmac. ‘Private,’ she captioned the video, along with tagging the location as Lagos, Nigeria.
She also posted several photos of herself posing alongside a mechanical dog sculpture while wearing a sporty maroon shirt and leggings. Chyna took to her Instagram stories to invite her 14.9 million followers to the official launch of ‘Whitenicious’ Diamond Illuminating & Lightening cream.
‘Lagos Nigeria, join me at the first official launch of my face cream this Sunday November 25th at the Whitenicious store from 1-5PM,’ she wrote. ‘Everyone is invited.’ Called ‘Whitenicious X Blac Chyna Diamond Illuminating & Lightening cream’, the product comes in a ‘fabulous jar handcrafted with Real Swarovski crystals. Just 100g of the cream costs $250.
