After the success of ‘Fan Ho Gaya’, Kshitij Tarey’s ‘Ekla Chalo re’ version is bound to wow the audiences
Singer – Composer Kshitij Tarey has become a household name after crooning popular tracks like ‘Aye Khuda’ from ‘Murder 2’, ‘Madhno’ from ‘Lamhaa’ and ‘Tose Naina Laage’ from ‘Anwar’.
In the independent space, Kshitij Tarey has created a niche for himself by releasing several tracks like ‘Bandeya’, ‘Ilteja’ and his recently released track ‘Fan Ho Gaya’ starring Shakti Arora and Nehaa Saxena.
The song, which released earlier this month is already a huge success amongt music lovers and has all the potential to become one of the most popular party numbers of the season.
Not one to bask in the glory of his single’s success, Kshitij’s next venture an Eros Now’s short film ‘Soulsathi’ released on 14th September. The short film starring Adah Sharma is an out of the box film and Kshitij Tarey has composed and given the background music for the same.
One of the highlights for him was to recreate Rabindranath Tagore’s iconic ‘Ekla Chalo Re’, giving it a modern touch while still keeping the ethos of the song intact. The new version also has english lyrics added to it.
Commenting on his single and ‘Soulsathi’, Kshitij Tarey says, “Fan ho gaya has been received very well by music lovers and we are thrilled with the response. This kind of appreciation only instills me with more of a drive to create better music.
In the case of ‘Soulsathi’ wonderfully directed by dear friend Abir Sengupta, it was an honour to work on Rabindranath Tagore’s iconic track ‘Ekla chalo re’ and I hope i have done justice to it. Apart from ‘Soul sathi’, there are three more web series projects lined up this year on leading OTT platforms“ he smiles.
