Actress Rashmika Mandanna Takes Cricket Lessons For Dear Comrade, South actor Vijay Deverakonda has impressed us with his acting skills in films like Pelli Choopulu, Arjun Reddy and recently released Mahanati. The star has signed the new film titled Dear Comrade, which is set to go on floors in June. A few days back, Vijay shared the first look poster on his Twitter and captioned it, “Mythri Movie Makers. Big Ben Cinemas. & Your Man @Thedeverakonda. Bring you an action drama you will not forget – #DearComrade directed by Bharat Kamma. Shoot starts this June.”
The film is currently in pre-production stage and is directed by Bharat Kamma. Earlier there were rumours that, Dear Comrade is inspired by Dulquer Salmaan starrer Malayalam film Comrade In America aka CIA. Though the director rubbished the rumours and said, “Dear Comrade starring Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda has no connection with the Malayalam film.” The film is produced under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, who had delivered hits like Srimanthudu and Rangasthalam.
Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who made her debut this year with Telugu film Chalo, will share the screen space with Vijay Deverakonda in Dear Comrade. As per the reports, Vijay will essay the character of a student leader from a communist family. As a part of the preparation, the actress is currently taking some cricket lessons in the cricket club in Hyderabad.
A leading website quoted a source as saying that Vijay Deverakonda’s on screen character is that of a student leader coming from a communist family. Set in the communist region of Kakinada, the film will have the actor speak in the local dialect. Rashmika, on the other hand, will be seen as a cricketer playing for the state of Telangana. Sources close to the actress reveal that she is taking Cricket lessons in Hyderabad at the Cricket Club there for some net sessions. She reportedly wishes to hone her batting skills and learn her fielding techniques.
