Elsa Pataky admits she and husband Chris Hemsworth are the least strict

Elsa Pataky shares three young children with husband Chris Hemsworth. And in an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle on Thursday, the 42-year-old admitted that the couple are the ‘least strict’ when it comes to parenting.

During an interview with the Today show, Elsa said they will never accept a film role unless they can guarantee one of them is able to stay at home with their children.’I think it is important for us, for one of us to be there,’ she said.

The Spanish actress said of raising daughter India Rose, six, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, four: ‘They know they can get everything from me.’ Elsa, who plays the dark and mysterious Adrielle Cuthbert in the new Netflix series Tidelands, added that she could not more different from her character.

‘I’m just the opposite to Adrielle… But [I] think I need to bring a little part of Adrielle back with me into my family life!’ she laughed. While she may keep the reins loose with regards to her children, Elsa recently revealed she and Chris have a ‘parenting pact’ that helps keep their family together.

Seemingly confirming they refuse to hire nannies, Elsa added: ‘I don’t think I’d be able to work if [Chris] didn’t have the time to be with them… He’s such a good dad.”[Chris] had some time off and it was really good timing to shoot this show,’ Elsa said when asked how she managed to balance filming Tidelands with raising her children.

The Queensland location also worked out perfectly for the pair, given its close proximity to their family home in Byron Bay, New South Wales. ‘The shoot was here, very close to my house, I got to still be with my kids and they could be in school and we didn’t have to move,’ she said.
