90 Day Fiance star Ashley Martson Divorce and hospitalization Updates

90 Day Fiance Ashley Martson recently withdrew her divorce filing from husband Jay Smith after less than two weeks, a court clerk from Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
Martson, 32, filed for divorce from Smith, 20, on January 11 after eight months of marriage. The filing came weeks after the Jamaica native alleged that Martson had been unfaithful during their relationship.
He wrote on his Instagram Story in late December 2018, “Fyi: for everyone coming at me. I wasn’t the only one who was ‘talking’ aka ‘cheating’ with other people during our relationship/marriage.”
Smith was previously caught cheating on his wife one day after they tied the knot in Las Vegas.
Two days after filing for divorce, the Pennsylvania native revealed she was hospitalized for “acute kidney failure due to lupus.”
She wrote on Instagram along with a photo of herself in a hospital bed, “I will begin dialysis shortly. I will not let this beat me. I know I’m strong enough to battle through this, not just for myself but for my kids.”
Why Ashley Martson withdrew her divorce filing
Things between the couple seemed to soften, however, after Martson was rushed to the hospital on Jan. 13, just two days after her divorce filing, due to complications from her lupus diagnosis. Having gone into kidney failure, Smith, who was reportedly on his way home to Jamaica, rushed to his wife’s bedside.
“I may have hurt you. I may have not been a good husband,” he wrote.
“Jumping on a plane the second I found out you [were] in the hospital was something I didn’t even think twice to do. We have our differences, but as long as I have life, I will never let you sit alone and suffer. I love you, and nothing will ever change that. Thank you for having me here to support you.”
When asked if she and Smith were still together, Martson played coy and responded with “[I don’t know] man, lets eat pizza.” She also stated that “Advil comes in extra large bottles” when asked she had learned from her relationship with Smith.
When asked why she refused to confirm the state of her and Smith’s relationship, she jokingly suggested that “nothing in this world I like more than” money.
She continued: “Please pray for myself and my family as I know it’s going to be a very tough road ahead for all of us. Thank you for your continuous support and prayers.”
It’s getting more and more difficult for 90 Day Fiance fans to keep track of which way is up. It seems like Ashley and Jay Smith say one thing one day and do a complete turnaround the next.
So, is this another publicity stunt for the TLC pair and the network? Perhaps Ashley is trying to save face in lieu of the upcoming 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After season.

Chatter online is that Jay Smith and Ashley Martson were cast on 90 Day Fiance spin-off. Those divorce papers could kill the idea that they end up happily ever after before the season even airs. Did Ashley and Jay work out their issues in the 11 days between the initial filing and the withdrawal?
Ashley Martson was hospitalized due to kidney failure
Earlier Ashley Martson has been discharged from the hospital after her kidney scare. ‘I Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your donations, prayers and support. I’m home and starting to slowly recover,’ she wrote on Instagram.
The 90 Day Fiance star, 32, was hospitalized after collapsing at her home, after suffering acute kidney failure due to complications of Lupus.
What is Lupus autoimmune disease
Lupus is an autoimmune disease that when it becomes hyperactive it attacks tissues that includes kidneys, heart, skin, joints, blood cells and lungs. This is the same disease that has afflicted Selena Gomez. The young star eventually needed a kidney transplant in 2017, but she has looked remarkably healthy since the operation.
Ashley Martson Accused Of Being A Fraud
Fans of 90 Day Fiance have had enough of the drama from Ashley Martson. The reality celeb is being bombarded with allegations and criticism following her supposed hospitalization.
On other side Ashley Martson, who is battling Lupus, previously began a GoFundMe fundraiser to help with her medical bills and other expenses. At first, fans were supportive of the cause and showed much sympathy.
But things took a turn after eagle-eyed fans allegedly spotted some red flags. Apparently, many believe that Ashley is duping fans and is only after the money.
Ashley Takes Down GoFundMe
On January 13, Ashley Martson launched her GoFundMe fundraiser, the same day she was rushed to the hospital for acute kidney failure. The 90 Day Fiance alum initially set the goal to $10,000 but later reduced it to $5,000. In just a matter of days, the campaign managed to go viral and quickly nears the target. However, Ashley suddenly takes down the campaign, which drew mixed reactions online.
Ashley Says Money Is Enough To Cover Expenses
Amid all the fraud suspicions, Ashley Martson made the bold move of voluntarily shutting down her GoFundMe project. The 90 Day Fiance celeb pulled in over $3,800 before taking it down. This intensified the speculations even more. In her post, Ashley claims that the amount is more than enough to cover “unexpected medical costs and loss of income.” She pointed out that “the amount of money raised was plenty.”
Ashley And Jay Smith Spotted At A Party
With Ashley Martson fresh out of the hospital, many assume that she will be at home, resting. However, much to everyone’s surprise, the 90 Day Fiance babe was spotted out and about with Jamaican husband Jay Smith.
The couple was seen in what appears to be a children’s party. By the looks of it, she is back on her feet already — a far cry from her frail form during her previous Instagram Live.
Fans Want More Updates From Ashley
Ashley Martson’s latest sighting did not sit well with fans who donated on her GoFundMe page. The donors, who willingly gave their hard-earned money to help her, were disappointed with her lack of updates.
Some think it is only fair for Ashley to update her fans and donors on her current status, especially since the money she asked was supposedly for her wellbeing.
Sure, there’s nothing wrong with going out and having fun, but some followers think it’s a bit off when you just got out of the hospital after suffering from kidney failure.
